Study Details

Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) and Metabolic Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH) are severe forms of fatty liver disease, affecting millions of people worldwide. These conditions involve liver inflammation and damage due to fat accumulation, not caused by alcohol consumption. NASH/MASH can lead to serious health complications, including liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, liver failure, and an increased risk of liver cancer.

In its early stages, NASH/MASH may present with few or no symptoms, often detected incidentally during routine medical tests. As the disease progresses, individuals may experience fatigue, weakness, and discomfort in the upper right abdomen. Effective management of NASH/MASH involves lifestyle changes such as weight loss, a healthy diet, and regular exercise. Emerging therapies are also being developed to target liver inflammation and fibrosis directly.
