Dr. Ajaz Khan, MD, is a Board Certified Family Practice physician with extensive experience in clinical research and patient care. Since joining Epic Medical Research, Dr. Khan has led numerous high-profile clinical trials, contributing to advancements in treatments for COVID-19, asthma, and various other conditions. His diverse background includes emergency medicine, primary care, and clinical coordination, ensuring comprehensive oversight of our research studies. Dr. Khan is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and precision in all research activities.

Dr. Laquita Shepherd
MD

Principal Investigator

Dr. Laquita Shepherd is a seasoned Principal Investigator at Epic Medical Research, Mesquite, TX. She completed her medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, followed by residencies in Internal Medicine and Family Practice. Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Shepherd has extensive experience in clinical research, having led numerous studies on conditions such as eosinophilic asthma, COVID-19, and diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain.
